2008 Newville 1/10 Scale “Novice” & “Pro” Nitro 2wd Truck Class Rules

When reading rules below it is a good thing to realize that chances are if it is not mentioned here, it is not legal. Do not plan a defense of your latest concoction by saying "it doesn't say I can't do it". Save yourself and everyone else a lot of time by being realistic in what is expected and in the spirit of the rules.

Chassis:

  • Any “aftermarket” chassis is allowed, but must run a .12 or .15 engine ONLY.
  • Any 1/10 scale RTR truck will be legal to compete with the “stock” engine that came with the truck.
  • “Aftermarket” chassis are as follows: Barts chassis, Moose Motorsports chassis, LRE chassis, etc…., any chassis that is not purchased as a RTR truck will be included in the “aftermarket” category and restricted engine size.

2wd- Rear Wheel Drive ONLY- single speed transmission ONLY, Two speeds must be “LOCKED” not to shift

  • Wheelbase is Minimum 10.0”, Maximum 12.0”
  • Minimum width is 11.5”, Maximum width is 13.0”
  • MUST RUN LONG TYPE TRUCK ARMS
  • Minimum weight is 64 oz.

Engines:

  • Any RTR stock engine that came with kit may be used up to .18 or Traxxas 3.3 engines on original RTR chassis.
  • . 12 or .15 engines ONLY on “Aftermarket” chassis (unlimited number of ports)
  • Max. Fuel tank capacity is 75cc (without insert), NO LARGE CAPACITY TANKS ALLOWED, stock tank size is allowed on RTR trucks.

Pipes:

  • No internal adjusting / moving parts
  • 6mm stinger opening

Tires:

  • OPEN TIRE RULE, Rubber or Foam tires are permitted, All Trucks must run tires on truck wheels
  • No Production Slicks allowed
  • Minimum wheel diameter is 2.2” wheels
  • Minimum Tire width is 1.50”
  • Maximum Tire width is 2.50”
  • NO silicone or silicone impregnated tires are allowed
  • ABSLOUTLY NO GREASE, IF YOU ARE FOUND USING GREASE ON YOUR TIRES, YOU WILL BE DISQUALIFIED

Body:

  • MUST BE A PRODUCTION TRUCK BODY, NO HOMEMADE BODIES
  • The body may not be altered in anyway from its stock configuration i.e.: shortened, lengthened, narrowed etc. Reasonable modification may be permitted to allow for cylinder head cooling only.
  • 2” spoiler allowed on the rear of truck (must be mounted to the rear of body on truck bed)
  • ONE side air dam is allowed, must be mounted to the left side of truck, NO more than 1” above roof line, air dam can extend to the rear of the spoiler
  • NO ALTERING OF ROOF HEIGHT
  • Front and rear windshields are optional
  • No additional spoilers or wicker bills are permitted, except the 2” on the rear of the truck body
  • All bodies must resemble a truck
  • All trucks must have 4 wheel independent suspension, No straight axle trucks allowed

 

THE FINAL DECISION REGARDING RULES OR CLASS SPECIFICATION ISSUES THAT ARE NOT ADDRESSED ABOVE WILL BE AT THE DISCRETION OF NEWVILLE R/C SPEEDWAY AND HOBBIES
