Driver Conduct

The “Entering a Race Late” rule is for all classes

Entering a Race Late

  • After 2 minutes have expired at the start of a race (Heat or Main), you will not be permitted to enter the track for the remainder of that race.
  • A racer will be permitted to enter a race (Heat or Main), before 2 minutes have expired from the start of the race. Providing that the “late” racer doesn’t interfere with the racers on the track. Giving the racers that have been racing, room, and do not get in the way of the race that is already in progress.
  • If you do not give the racers “room” to race or “interfere”, you will be given a “WARNING” over the PA system to “give the racers room to race”.
  • If after the “WARNING”, if you still do not give the racers “room” or “interfere”, YOU WILL BE TOLD TO REMOVE YOUR CAR FROM THE TRACK.
  • If you do not remove your vehicle when asked by the race announcer, you will be disqualified for the nights racing event.

The “Novice” class is exempt from the following rules

Controlling Your Vehicle

  • You must have “reasonable” control of your vehicle on the racetrack at all times.
  • You should be able to make laps without “spinning out” or “interfering” with the other vehicles that you are racing with.
  • If your vehicle is “broken” and you can still make laps without interfering with the race that is in progress, you will be permitted to do so.
  • If you cannot control your vehicle in a “reasonable” manner you will be given a “WARNING” over the PA system to “get your car under control”.
  • If after the “WARNING”, if you still don’t have “reasonable” control, YOU WILL BE TOLD TO REMOVE YOUR CAR FROM THE TRACK.
  • If you do not remove your vehicle when asked by the race announcer, you will be disqualified for the nights racing event.

Aggressive Driving

  • Aggressive driving will not be tolerated, PERIOD.
  • While racing, if you are passed by another car, and intentionally “drive through or over” that car in the next corner is considered “aggressive driving”.
  • If you appear to be driving in an “aggressive” manner you will be given a “WARNING” over the PA system to “get your car under control”.
  • If after the “WARNING”, you still appear to be driving “aggressively”, YOU WILL BE TOLD TO REMOVE YOUR CAR FROM THE TRACK.
  • If you do not remove your vehicle when asked by the race announcer, you will be disqualified for the nights racing event.

Our intentions are not to discourage you from racing, but to make the racing more enjoyable. If you need assistance in setting up your vehicle, Please ask, someone is always willing to help out a fellow racer. All of the above decisions will be made by Newville R/C Speedway and Hobbies; please don’t put us in a situation to have to make a judgment call against you as a racer. Treat and show your fellow racers the respect that they and you expect to be treated with .
